So this past Saturday I did something at a wedding that I’ve never done before. In fact, I did a FEW things I’ve never done before! When Quinton & Kelsey got engaged, there was no question – I was shooting their engagement and wedding. I wasn’t given the option of NOT doing that! (Which was SUCH an honor!).

So here are two things I had never done that I can no longer say I’ve never done!
1. I have (until Saturday) never photographed a wedding while also being a part of the wedding party. Because sane people don’t say yes to doing crazy things. But when it’s for a dear friend, all sanity runs out the door.

2. I have (until Saturday) never been a bridesmaid in a wedding! Crazy, I know! I guess I just always ended up behind the camera!

The thought/conversation came up of possibly pulling double duty and additionally being a bridesmaid. I was SO thrilled when it was official, I’d be doing both! That being said, I wouldn’t have been able to pull it off without two fabulous assistants/2nd shooters Carrie Coleman and Anina Kiddie! Pulling double duty was as expected; exhausting, exciting, emotionally and physically draining and all the while SO worth it!
