This week my parents, brother/sister in law (+ nephew), Chris and myself are enjoying some time at the Outer Banks. As tradition stands, when family come to visit from out of the country, we HAVE to get some family photos. But this time we had an extra little guy to add in to the photos. Baby Joshua is the newest addition and he stole the show! Be sure to check back next week for some family photos. But first I have to share one very special photo.

This photo is more than just a cute photo. This photo includes 4 generations of Joshua Johannes Kruger boys. In the frame is my grandfather, then my dad, my brother and then the newest JJK – his son (my nephew).

My grandfather (Oupa Joshua), was a well loved and respected grandpa. My siblings and I along with our cousins all have very fond memories of Oupa Joshua. He was a gentle spirited man and I can honestly say I never saw him angry or worked up. He loved us well like a true grandpa does! I eagerly await the day I get to see him again. <3

To think that my dad is now the new Oupa Joshua in our family is a thought that brings much happiness to my heart! I know my dad will be equally loved and respected one day when there are many more cousins around! My dad knows how to be a fun dad, and is now learning to be an even more fun grandpa to my nephew. I look forward to, God willing, seeing my dad be the ‘Oupa Joshua’ to my children that I remember his dad being to me! 🙂
