So, when John (aka Zippy) and Dane got engaged, we quickly started working on a plan on getting me to South Africa to photograph their wedding in December, 2011. I was elated!! I’d be spending Christmas in the Summer, and shooting my first beach wedding. I got my ticket booked, the wedding was 10th of December, 2011 and I was due to fly into Pretoria, SA on the 6th, I’d have a day to recover, we’d drive down to Durban on the 8th and have a day to enjoy the beach, shoot the wedding the 10th and drive back to Pretoria on the 11th. TIGHT schedule. Well, as I boarded my flight, they had some “technical difficulties” with the plane and we waited to lift off for 6 hours at which time they booked us into a hotel for the night. Poor Dane’ was getting worried! Goodness, I was getting worried! After a 24 hour delay, I was grateful to get into South Africa on the 7th, not giving much time for getting over jet-lag, but who needs that if they have all the excitement/adrenaline over this wedding!! Everything about this wedding made me smile; the beach, the fishermen in the background, the bare feet, everything!
MAKE SURE you go all the way to the portraits because they are the BEST!
So, without further ado, I introduce to you Mr. & Mrs. Benn!

The pictures are absolutely preciously beautiful. I just have one question, who thinks of the different poses and thinks ant the backpround and scenery? The colours are so bright and each picture is unique and special….it really takes your breath away.
