Emily’s Historic Mankin Mansion Bridal Portraits

I have this love-hate relationship with bridal portraits. Don’t get me wrong, there are few things so fun as to getting an entire hour+ with the bride to focus just on  her. It’s a great time to do a trial run of your hair/makeup. You get to test out your shoes and break them in a little. There’s not the stress and time-pressure of a wedding day. I could go on about the things I love about bridal portraits. But here’s what I DON’T like about them…

I don’t get to share them till after the wedding! No really, I love sharing images as I’m shooting which makes it very difficult when I have a beautiful bridal session that I cannot share till after the wedding. Sometimes that means waiting a few weeks, but sometimes it means waiting a few months, depending on when the session was! 🙂

Anyway, all that to say – my love-hate relationship with bridal sessions will probably never change, but today I get to share a beautiful session from Emily’s portraits. John & Emily got married at the Historic Mankin Mansion mid-August and it was a beautiful day! About 2 weeks before the wedding we did Emily’s portraits there! Get ready for some beautiful portraits!
